Here are some pictures from the Paul Stanley Washburn product launch - Saturday Nov. 3 at the Zellers store in Georgetown, Ontario. Canadian based KISS tribute Fried Alive had a great time greeting all the KISS fans who came out for the promotion. The store's stock of Paul guitars sold out before the band even arrived for the promotion! The KISS army is as strong as ever!

Washburn Guitars today announced the the addition of the very cool looking Preacher Guitar to the Paul Stanley Signature Series. The shape is like a Les Paul with a bit of KISS attitude thrown in! The Paul Stanley Preacher comes in four models and the PS9200WH pictured left is the top of the line deluxe guitar Paul has been playing on tour which is crafted in the Washburn custom shop along with the PS9000 and comes with Art deco headstock inlays, Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickups and is available in black and white.

'What I wanted to do in designing the Preacher was to create a new guitar with an old soul,' said Paul Stanley of Kiss. 'In essence, a historical classic that could have, but never actually existed. The design incorporates all the features, tone and spirit of an old iconic guitar but with better neck access and a unique take on a familiar shape. I was determined to retain all the characteristics that made a legendary guitar the gold standard for the last 50 years and yet create something new, unique and improved. I like to call it 'history with an attitude.''

Here's a photo from Gene at last Friday's appearance in Las Vegas. Gene performed live with the big band Royal Crown Revue Friday night at The Joint located inside the Hard Rock Casino. The show was filmed for an upcoming Family Jewels Episode .

Hopped the 7:40 flight to Vegas and headed off to the HARD ROCK HOTEL, where I went right into a full day of rehearsals for the World Premier of the GENE SIMMONS ROYAL CROWN REVUE -- 13 piece big band. Horns. Rhythm section. 3 Girl Background Singers and showgirls. It all took place at Beecher's Madhouse at the JOINT. We filmed the entire event for our tv show and on a personal note, this experience is coming full circle for me. Before the Beatles, I was hooked on American Rhythm and Blues -- the early guys, James Brown, Joe Tex, Jackie WIlson (quickly, get copies of Jackie's WORK OUT...you'll flip...also check out Roy Head's TREAT HER RIGHT). This was a chance for me to let loose, get in front of a rockin' band, and pimp out. And pimp, I did.
