"CALL PAUL STANLEY"
KISSONLINE
Click below to check out a cool new song - "Call Paul Stanley" from the band Bad City. The guys are all big fans of KISS and wrote the song about a young rock star who somehow stumbles upon Paul Stanley's phone number and calls him up in the middle of the night.

Bad City's album was just released, and the band is going on tour next week with Slash before joining up with The Smashing Pumpkins. Check them out at http://www.myspace.com/badcitymusic.

NEW YORK EXAMINER
By Elliot Levin

KISS brought the hottest show on Earth to Jones Beach on Saturday night, playing a two hour set filled with classic songs and a stunning, explosive stage show.

Continuing their reign as one of the most visible and best-known rock bands of all time, KISS is now in their second straight year of touring in support of 2009's Sonic Boom, the first new KISS record in over a decade. Saturday's cool but pleasant weather brought the KISS Army out in full glory, with thousands of attendees ranging from 6 year olds to 60 year olds, many wearing the iconic face paint of Catman, Spaceman, Starchild, and the Demon as they packed the seats of the Jones Beach amphitheater.

KISS has shot to success over the decades not only by writing catchy, anthemic rock n' roll songs, but by crafting a high energy image that thoroughly permeates their live performances. No expense or effect was spared for Saturday night's show, as the four members of KISS entered the stage on a flying, smoke-filled platform with explosions and fireballs erupting all about them.

BALTIMORE SUN
Sun writer (and wrestling blogger) Kevin Eck saw Kiss at Jiffy Lube Live. Below is his review.

Photos by Jay Gilbert

To many people, Kiss has long been Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and two other guys.

Even when fellow original members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss returned to the iconic glam rock group in the late '90s, it was clear that Simmons and Stanley were steering the ship and the other two were simply along for the ride.

That's not the case with the band's current lineup, though. While "The Demon" and "The Starchild" are still Kiss' main men both on and off stage, lead guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer - who have assumed the "Spaceman" and "Catman" stage personas made famous by Frehley and Criss, respectively - are more than just bit players.

In fact, they provided some of the more memorable moments from Saturday night's Kiss concert at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Va. ...

LADY GAGA, SHARE FASHION SENSIBILITY
USA TODAY
If ever there was a more perfect sartorial match. Lady Gaga kicked it with the KISS boys during their tour stop in Holmdel, N.J., last Friday, and she wore Paul Stanley's shoes, to boot. The pop fashion rebel wore Stanley's platform boots for the entire show - along with her own pair of sheer underwear and corset top, of course.

BECOME ROLE MODELS FOR LADY GAGA
SPINNER
By Dan Reilly

As one of the largest bands in the world for over 30 years, Kiss are certainly no strangers to the kind of fame that Lady Gaga currently enjoys. With that and their outlandish fashion sense in common, it shouldn't surprise anyone that the rockers and the diva hit it off immediately.

Gaga posted two pictures on her Twitter account, one showing her with guitarist Paul Stanley and another of her and the entire band. The pictures were taken backstage after the band's Friday gig at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, N.J., which Gaga attended with her boyfriend, Luc Carl.

On Saturday, Gaga performed in Tacoma, Wash., and spoke of how inspired she was to meet Stanley and company. "You meet so many people [in Hollywood] who are so ungrateful for what they have," she said, according to PopEater. "But Kiss, these guys have been making music for decades and they were ... beyond nice and beyond down to earth, full makeup and everything. They hung out with me and my friends for 30 minutes just shooting the s--- backstage like they don't have anything better to do ... That's gonna be me in 30 years."

Naturally, fans everywhere started speculating about a collaboration between Kiss and Gaga, but it seems that's just wishful thinking.

SEE YOU AT TINLEY PARK!
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
Hey Guys!

I am so excited to get to see you again when you come to Tinley Park, IL in September! I enjoyed the meet and greet experience in November at the Key Arena in Seattle, but I attended the show by myself. Taking all the great pictures, being in the second row center, and meeting you was AWESOME, but I felt like I was missing my concert buddies. Alas, they live in Minnesota and Chicago, so...

BUT, I am coming back in September for your Tinely Park show. I can't wait-- an outdoor show in my hometown! AND, my best concert buddies are going to join me! We have not been to a concert together for 30 years. We are all long time fans and I was able to get us 7th row seats for the show through the KISS Army presale!

NOW, if we were lucky enough to win the meet and greet upgrade so I could send them backstage to meet you, that would make the experience all the more complete. Regardless, we'll be the three old guys in the center of row 7 cheering you on and enjoying your music! Thanks so much for allowing us to return to our youth, even if it's just for one evening. Thanks for coming back to the states for another round!

Sincerely,

Marty Mogk
