SALINA JOURNAL / KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
Hi KISS & the KISS Army!

I thought you might like to see this story about a kid that camped out 3 days to get front row KISS tickets in 1986...

Enjoy.

By the way, it was FRONT PAGE, above the crease, bigger than the superbowl score, and above the story about Obama. With the color picture of the KISS ticket from 1986...WAY COOL!

Several interesting items including a ticket stub for the legendary rock band KISS were found in a wallet owned by Kyle Jones lost 25 years ago at Salina South seen in this Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 photo. (photo by Jeff Cooper/ Salina Journal)

By GARY DEMUTH / Salina Journal

Kyle Jones was pleased his missing wallet was found. He just didn’t expect it would turn up 25 years later.

In 1986, Jones was a high school junior at Salina South High School and played offensive and defensive tackle on the football team.

One day, while walking out of the school gym, the 16-year-old accidentally dropped his wallet through an air- conditioning vent.

LOGAN'S VIDEO TRIBUTE TO
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
KISS,

Here is a video my 6-year-old son Logan "Robot" shot last Halloween as a tribute to his favorite drummer, Eric Singer! He had so much fun doing a Halloween video for Modern Day Delilah in 2009 that we decided to try again in 2010. In true Kiss fashion, Robot wanted to make this year's video bigger and better than before - and he had a whole lotta fun in the process. The video features a cameo appearance by Robot's 4-year-old sister, Kylie (who is also a big Kiss fan!), along with a few funny surprises. We hope you enjoy watching!

Thanks for making 2010 another great year for Kiss fans. And thanks to Eric for continuing to inspire little rock and rollers everywhere.

Thanks,
Kevin Gladden

MY PINBALL MACHINE
KOL LETTERS
Being a Kiss fan and an avid collector it was only natural for me to search flea markets and garage sales for anything Kiss, considering my personal favorites are the original seventies collectables. After obtaining many collectibles I realized that the Holy Grail of Kiss memorabilia would be the Bally Kiss pinball machine.

As fate would have it around April, 2010 I received a call from a friend stating he knew someone that wanted to sell a Kiss pinball machine. I could not believe what I was hearing, but quickly realized I would never be able to afford such a rare collectible, but maybe just maybe they were selling it cheap. I went back and forth with the seller until she finally said “make me an offer”. Well, with my eyes closed I blurted out a ridiculous offer of three hundred dollars, expecting a fast decline but, much to my amazement she accepted it.

I can still remember seeing the pinball machine for the first time. I walked through a back yard in suburban New Jersey. The seller opened a wooden door to an old shed and there it sat in all its glory. It was shoved in a corner with all types of junk stuffed on and around it, just waiting for me to rescue it. My eyes went instantly to the back glass that was still intact. I noticed slight wear on the playfield and some fading of the body paint. I couldn’t believe what great condition it was in considering the seller settled for such a low price.

At first I wasn’t expecting very much, after learning it hadn’t worked for years but at that instant I knew it was a dream come true. I quickly learned how to repair the late seventies Bally Kiss pinball machine and the rest has been KISStory.

BROWARD PALM BEACH NEW TIMES
By Travis Newbill

Kiss us, we're Irish. St. Patrick's Day's creepy little green guy will be overshadowed by larger, possibly more satanic, man-monsters this year when Kiss brings its "Hottest Show on Earth Tour" to the Seminole Hard Rock on March 17 -- one of only two scheduled North American appearances for 2011 so far. This comes as great news for those of us who feel that the old beer-jig-puke routine is getting old and that the reign of the leprechaun has gone on for long enough.

Kiss is currently working on a new album, which means we may be treated to a few new songs. Of course, we're thinking that the songs will not be the big news at this show, which is obviously an attempt by Kiss to overthrow the leprechaun. Here are a few predictions for the upcoming green-versus-black battle of St. Patrick.

KISS Rocker Shows Us How to Shout it Loud for Our Troops

By Eric Shirey

Icy roads and freezing temperatures couldn't keep the God of Thunder from attending his Aces and Angels Salute to the Troops Party on Wednesday night. Gene Simmons, the famous KISS rocker and reality show star wasn't the only one not giving up on a night of fundraising and mixing it up with celebrities, poker players, military officers, rock bands, and the likes while enjoying good food and an open bar. Over 1,000 people packed into the Centennial Hall - Fair Park in Dallas, TX to kick off a week of Super Bowl XLV parties the right way. They were there to have fun for a good cause. That cause is the Wounded Warrior Project, which is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that takes action to help the injured service men and women of this generation.
