LA KISS EXCLUSIVE PRE-GAME KISS ACOUSTIC CONCERT

LA KISS SEASON OPENER ON SATURDAY, APRIL 2ND vs JACKSONVILLE SHARKS

Los Angeles, CA (February 11th, 2016) – On Opening Night of the 2016 LA KISS Arena Football season, legendary and multi-platinum selling rock band KISS is set to perform an exclusive pre-game acoustic concert for all of the LA KISS Season Ticket Holders. This is a rare opportunity to see the band stripped down and makeup free as they perform acoustic versions of their hit songs that have sold over 100 million copies worldwide. For one admission, Season Ticket Holders will get a sports experience unlike anything else; with a concert, a pyrotechnics show, laser lights, performers and the most fast-paced, high-action football around. This will be the season to watch for the LA KISS. Opening Night the LA KISS will kick off against the Jacksonville Sharks on Saturday, April 2nd, 2016 at 6:00pm at Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

“We are really psyched to have KISS playing a pre-game concert for our Season Ticket Holders on opening day. We have great owners that are legendary performers and the fans love it when they see them at the games to cheer on the team”, said LA KISS CEO, Joe Windham.  “We have made some big off season acquisitions and expectations for the football team in its third year are running high. Paul and Gene are set to attend every game this year and help coax the team to finish in the top of the pack to secure a home playoff game. LA KISS will be upping the entertainment ante again by having KISS kick off the season in true rock fashion.”

Don Jorgensen / http://www.keloland.com reports:

Get ready to Rock n Roll all night! The legendary band KISS will be performing at Badlands Pawn Thursday night, unmasked and unplugged.

KISS is already in town and KELOLAND News caught up with them this afternoon to talk about a softer side to these hard rockers.
We all see the band members of KISS on stage.  But what most of don't see is the generosity hidden behind the makeup and costumes.

The band members, who've been to Sioux Falls many times, talk highly about the Brennan Rock and Roll Academy where they interact with some of the kids from the Boys and Girls Club, who come here after school to learn to play music from volunteers.

Rock & Brews locations in the Los Angeles area have partnered with The Friendship Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in the South Bay, to raise funds to help send special needs children and young adults to summer camp. The rock-inspired, family friendly restaurant co-founded by Rock & Roll Hall of Famers and KISS front men Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley will be collecting donations through April for Camp Got Friends, a camp run by The Friendship Foundation that offers social, educational and recreational activities for special needs children and young adults.

Camp Got Friends attendees experience new and fun activities throughout the week, including music class, arts and crafts, cooking, sports, science experiments and field trips all over Los Angeles. Each camper is paired with a student volunteer, and together they share the experience and learn from each other.

Guests interested in making a donation can ask their server to add a dollar to their bill in support of Camp Got Friends.

Gene Simmons: 'Intimate' KISS show will be 'something special'

By Kelley Simms / Gannett Media

Sioux Falls, you wanted the best, you got the best. KISS!

The iconic rock band, KISS, will be playing Badlands Pawn on Thursday for a rare unmasked and unplugged concert. It’s the first time the band has played in Sioux Falls since 1997 at the Sioux Falls Arena.

“Obviously, we play in arenas and stadiums, this (Badlands Pawn) is a totally different thing,” Simmons said. “But if we brought all our equipment, there wouldn’t be any room for people. We obviously can’t bring bombs and big pyro because it’d literally blow the roof off. It’s certainly not the biggest place we’ve played. In fact it’s close to the smallest, but (owner Chuck Brennan) wanted something intimate. The idea was to do something special.”

That something special includes the band unearthing selected gems that they haven’t played in a while or have never played live before.

Morrison Hotel Gallery Will Celebrate The Grammys and the Legacy of KISS with Career-Spanning Exhibit

Career-Spanning Exhibit and Special Appearances by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley

In celebration of Grammy Week, on Saturday, February 13th from 6 to 8 PM, Morrison Hotel Gallery at the Sunset Marquis Hotel will honor KISS with a career-spanning photographic exhibit, and debut the first edition pieces from the KISS + UKIYO-E Project. From 6:00 to 6:30 PM, KISS founders and rock n’ roll icons Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley will make a very special appearance.

Morrison Hotel Gallery salutes the Grammys and the legacy of the seminal rock band with an exhibition that will feature iconic and revealing images of the group along its journey from fiery upstarts to megastars. The exhibit will also include the debut of the KISS + UKIYO-E Project which showcases a unique selection of stunning multi-colored wood block prints, representative of one of Japan’s most revered traditional genre of art. The KISS Ukiyo-e are first edition prints, limited to only 200, and are signed by the band. The ‘KISS Ukiyo-e’ project started in fall of 2014 as the first of its kind collaboration with a team of Japanese master artisans, and has culminated in these wonderful pieces of fine art being displayed here in their first comprehensive international feature exhibit. Widely popularized during the 1600s in Edo era Japan, Ukiyo-e famously depicted current events and often illustrious entertainment industry figures and scenes, and thus this contemporary collaboration with KISS is the perfect modern day continuation of the Ukiyo-e tradition.
