GOES SOLO!
KISSONLINE.com
A House Divided will Still Rock!

Echoing their famous series of 1978 solo albums, this March, legendary rockers KISS take to solo adventures in a new miniseries from IDW Publishing! Further exploring the deep mythology that’s made the Kings of Rock hold dual citizenship as Kings of Comics, this year, The-Four-Who-Are-One must take up arms alone against a slew of dynamic enemies and evil forces.

Spread out across four dimension-shattering issues, this face-melting slew of hard-rocking comics tectonics kicks off with KISS SOLO: THE DEMON, a tale starringGene Simmons’ classic alter ego, The Demon! Veteran KISS writer Chris Ryalland fan-favorite Kiss artist Angel Medina, rejoining the band for the first time sinceKiss: Psycho Circus, weave another tale of epic bombast and explosive rock and paving the way for the accompanying tales of the Starchild, the Celestial, and the Catman!

“We’ve turned KISS into gangsters, barbarians and teenage girls so far in our KISS comics,” said Chris Ryall, IDW’s Chief Creative Officer, “but now it’s time to give everyone the unfettered KISS over these four issues. Issue one sees the Demon taking on none other than the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and no one draws widescreen apocalyptic action better than Angel Medina. It’s a thrill to have Angel back in the KISS fold.”

In addition to providing full art on issue one, Medina is on board for covers for all four parts of the solo series. To further give longtime fans a bit more, each issue’s storyline and title is culled from the original solo album songs, such as issue one’s “Radioactive.”

Continuing a comics partnership as fruitful as it is sonically booming, the solo series is a must-have for comics fans and members of the KISS Army. After all, rocking ‘n’ rolling all night and reading comics every day sounds like a pretty solid plan, doesn’t it?

HELPING CHARITIES WITH !
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
KISS,

My name is Dr. Terry Traster, I'm a pharmacist in a small town in Illinois and I do charities and benefits with my Gene Simmons "Destroyer" costume. I have done benefits for individuals who are stricken with diseases and are having hard times paying their bills, charities to raise money to try to find cures for cancers, annual street festivals and many more. The response from people when they see somebody who looks like a member of the HOTTEST band in the world is invigorating! Everybody wants to take their picture with me and it puts a smile, but sometimes a scared look on peoples' faces.

I met KISS at the meet and greet in St. Louis this year and told Gene what I did and framed the conversation to let him know when the media is kicking him when he is down there is somebody out there that is spreading the good word of KISS and how much good they do like how much they support the Wounded Warriors Foundation. Gene asked me to write this and told me "If you inspire just one person, you have made a difference."

I am writing this as a challenge to all the members of the KISS Army that can afford one, BUY A COSTUME AND DO WHAT I DO! A couple of years ago I was asked by The Salvation Army Toys For Tots to do their benefit to buy Christmas presents for kids that otherwise wouldn't get any. The best Christmas present I ever gave or received was knowing that just by putting on my costume and showing up to this benefit I was going to help children get Christmas presents. Every year I do a free street festival in the beginning of August. There are a fair number of physically and mentally challenged people at this festival and when they ask to take their picture with me and I see how much joy I have brought to them and then their caregiver tells me "You have no idea what this means to them, their favorite band is KISS." it makes the money I spent on the costume and the time to put on the make-up seem completely insignificant.

I first wanted my costume in order to have the best Halloween costume possible, which it is. Then I was asked to do my first charity and the satisfaction I got from that was way more than I ever could have dreamed of. From there it has snowballed into something that gives me great pleasure and brings a lot of good to a lot of people and charities.

It's Christmas time now and it's the time for giving. Think about how much joy and pleasure KISS has brought to you or maybe somebody you know. Think about buying yourself a costume or somebody you know that would pay the good deed forward a costume . I have done a lot with my costume and you can too. Let's make 2013 the year the KISS ARMY goes into our local communities and spreads the good of the band that has done so much for us. Buy a costume and let the charities in your community know you are interested in donating your time to their causes. I guarantee you won't regret it!

MY BLOODY JOURNEY!
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
My journey with KISS started on Wednesday, November 14th at Porto Alegre. After a 500 miles long trip, I arrived there at 8:00 in the morning, on the very same day which would open the return of the band to Brazil. We received information that the plane would land at 14:30 pm of that Wednesday. Based on that, we went to the airport to receive them and despite the fact we couldn't get close to the "boys" because of restriction, we were the first four people to see KISS in Brazil!

After that unique moment, the Porto Alegre chapter closed with us on the first row of the front grid, right ahead and a few meters from Tommy Thayer with 15.000 people. After three years from my last and most special concert (Sao Paulo 2009) I was there listening to songs like Psycho Circus and War Machine for the first time, which made me cry, and I'm very proud to say that out loud. When I realized I was witnessing all that, KISS was already playing the last riffs from Rock And Roll All Nite, ending the night with mastery. The Porto Alegre concert was the one that touched me the most, and I'll keep this for the rest of my life.

The second chapter, but not any less special, started on Thursday, November 15th at 8 PM, when I got to Sao Paulo after a 600 miles long travel. From the airport we went straight to the waiting line for the concert, where we stayed until Saturday, day of the concert. After three days there, facing sun, rain, hunger, thirst and many other things, the second chapter ended with us again in the first row close to the stage, at 21:30 pm of Saturday with more than 30.000 people behind us. This time, we were in front of Gene Simmons, a place that a couple of songs later, gave me my most valuable item from the entire journey.

Before his bass solo, Gene Simmons took the blood cup as usual, but this time I felt that something different was about to happen. He took the blood in front of the stage, instead of the backstage as he always does. When Gene did that, he threw the cup in my direction, and I got the chance to take it. When I had it in my hand, it seemed the concert didn't have any more sense to go on. They could stop playing at that very moment and I wouldn't have noticed it. Like that wasn't enough, a couple of minutes later, he spotted me with the cup and pointed to his tongue and gestured for me to drink it. In the end of this huge presentation my warms and hand were covered with blood!

I just wanted to share this moment with all my friends, and when I did it, it was the most exciting and emotive moment of the entire journey in Sao Paulo. That week ended, but everything we went through will remain for the eternity.

Thank you friends and thank you KISS, for making all of this to happen.
