DOES SEX SELL? NEW CONDOMS PUT ON LATEX
The Associated Press / Washington
A condom maker is taking the truism "sex sells" very literally.

A new line of the contraceptives puts advertising not just on the wrapper, but the latex itself.

Graphic Armor Inc.'s new Picture Condoms meet all FDA requirements and it claims they're the first to feature full-color images on the latex. They're starting with a condom branded with the rock band Kiss that shows Gene Simmons' tongue unfurled. Another Kiss version featuring bandmate Paul Stanley is slated for June.

Adam Glickman, CEO of condom retailer Condomania, says the creators are in talks with entertainment companies, energy drinks and designers to put logos and messages on the condoms.

They come in a 3-pack for $7.99.

LOGO IN RANGO!
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
KISS truly is everywhere! I went to see the new movie "Rango" with my 10 year old son last night, and there is a part where the main character (Rango) is describing the Spirit of the West. He is drawing wildly against the dark sky with a smoldering stick (you'd have to see the movie...), and when he is finished you see what he has made. I thought that it was SO COOL that there was a KISS logo in the drawing! Look for it to the left of the "carriage"!

Keep rockin' guys, and we can't wait to see you again here in Washington DC! Looking forward to the new album! I've been a loyal fan for over 30 years!!!

KISS IS EVERYWHERE!

KISS was featured on the TV game show Jeopardy! The theme was Valentine's Day and they had a category about KISS. Some of the answers were about their sponsor, Dr. Pepper, their original record label, Casablanca, and about their hit song "Beth".

I was watching the show guessing all of the answers and I got all of them right!

BG NEWS

The Omni crowd looked to rock and roll all night in Toledo, but they wrapped it up after the KISS tribute band Mr. Speed left the stage.

The Cleveland-based cover band played for an audience of more than 200 Friday. The band came with thousand-dollar costumes and a miniature replica of KISS' stage, said Omni promoter Troy Michaels.

"(The band) really, really goes all out," Michaels said. "They are entertainers, self-promoters and people come to see the show."

Mr. Speed formed in 1994 with the current lineup and had a passion for KISS.

"We started the band because we are all fans of [Kiss] and grew up listening to the band. They were a major influence on our lives, not only musically, but socially," said Rich Kosak, who portrays guitarist Paul Stanley. "It just seemed like a natural thing that we wanted to do."

The metal quartet strives to be like the original KISS, not just in presentation but in sound.

"We always want people to be able to close their eyes and it sound like the record," Kosak said. "When people open their eyes to remind you of a time when you saw KISS, whether you saw them on television or you saw them in concert."

According to the band, there are four on-stage members and four superstars. Each member has his share of the spotlight.

Mr. Speed performs songs from almost every KISS album and tries to have a variety of songs written by different members.

FAN REMEMBERS LONDON SHOW - ONE YEAR LATER
KOL LETTERS
One Year Ago! I WAS THERE! March 2nd, 2010 - London

It's hard to believe a year has past since the O2 Islington Academy show in London on March 2nd! 800 ecstatic KISS Army members all gathered together to worship at the 7 inch high platform feet of the God of Thunder, Starchild, a Spaceman & a Cat!

No matter how hard you try nothing can prepare you for a KISS show. When those four guys walk out onstage "dressed to kill" & the make-up on, it really is the most spectacular sight you'll EVER see! Islington was a once in a lifetime experience, a dream come true! I will never forget that night in London for as long as I live. We wanted the best & we got the best!

The sheer excitement of finally getting to see my real-life-superheroes in the flesh, nevermind the fact it was in such great intimate venue, up close & personal, as the song goes ... they really were "In Your Face"! No fireworks, no pyros, no spitting blood, no spitting flames, no flying, no screens. This was a real rock 'n' roll band playing real rock 'n' roll music. Confirming the fact that in their big kick ass stadium/arena shows the novelties are by no means a necessity.

My sister Lisa was lucky enough to find a Paul Stanley signature pick buried under two-feet of confetti at the end of the night & the legend that she is gave it to me! It is one of the most treasured items in my KISS collection! Probably the greatest night of my life. I'd like to thank Gene, Paul, Tommy & Eric for the amazing memory of that night in Islington, London. Good luck with the new album, I can't wait to hear it & I hope a visit to Ireland shortly follows!
