THIS DAY IN TORY 1995
KISSONLINE
FIRST OFFICIAL US KISS CONVENTION

KISS began the North American leg of the first Official Worldwide KISS Convention Tour on June 17th, 1995 in Burbank, California. Peter Criss makes a surprise appearance at the Convention and joins Gene, Paul, Bruce and Eric on stage, singing two KISS classics -"Hard Luck Woman" and "Nothin' To Lose".

The unique and revolutionary KISS Convention tour featured a traveling KISS Museum displaying vintage KISS stage outfits, instruments, and memorabilia. Performances by KISS tribute bands, KISS collectors/dealers buying, selling and trading KISS merchandise, precedes an evening appearance by KISS themselves, appearing live and in person, conducting a question and answer session, autograph signing, and a two-hour plus unplugged set comprised mostly of spontaneous fan requests. Both Eric Singer and Bruce Kulick also performed clinics at the events.

Official KISS Conventions were held in Australia, Canada and the United Sates.

Songs performed at the KISS Conventions:

Comin' Home / Plaster Caster / Goin' Blind / Domino / Nothin' To Lose / Sure Know Something / Calling Dr. Love / C'mon and Love Me / Spit / I Still Love You / God Of Thunder (Country version) / See You Tonite / Do You Love Me / A World Without Heroes / Every time I Look At You / Rock Bottom / Shandi / Strutter / Hide Your Heart / Black Diamond / Heaven's On Fire / Rock And Roll All Nite

KISS also played (at least portions of) Strange Ways / Love Her All I Can / Love Gun / Take Me / Love Theme From KISS / Just A Boy and many more!

LAS VEGAS SUN
KISS-themed Monster Mini Golf

By April Corbin

In a city full of themed attractions, two niches remain unfilled: monsters and KISS.

Oh, but they're coming, at least if Christina Vitagliano has her way. The founder of Monster Mini Golf - that's monster as in "boo," with no relation to the energy drink - is looking to bring her nationwide mini-golf empire to Las Vegas. She currently is negotiating a price on a Strip location, where she plans to build a 10,000-square-foot indoor, glow-in-the-dark mini-golf park centered on monsters and iconic rock band KISS, what else?

"We are big on family entertainment. We're freaky but fun. We're all ages," says Vitagliano. "KISS is kind of like that, too."

To find proof this one-of-a-kind venture can work, Vitagliano says you need look no further than a KISS concert arena. "Adults are there with their kids. It's the only time I've ever been to a concert where there are two or three generations with the shared music taste."

Check out Remy, Reese, Ned, and Sha'un in action!

We would love to meet the band in person!!! This is the second year these little guys have done a KISS song at their talent show. They are 9 years old. Last year they sang Rock and Roll All Night and this year, Detroit Rock City.

I grew up watching you guys and can hardly believe that my son is performing your act.

KISS is more popular now than ever. And Mr. Gene Simmons ...... you're amazing!

You guys rock!

ARE OUR BEATLES!
KISSONLINE
Hi Guys,

These 15 year old girls were just walking down 7th ave today in NYC --they love KISS.

I asked them if I could take my pic with them and I would send to you!

I asked them why at 15 they were fans of someone my age -- one of them said:

"Well, I bet you like the Beatles, right?"

"Well, KISS are our Beatles."

SWEDISH PARTY LEADER IS A FAN
NOJE
KISS IS EVERYWHERE!

Mona Sahlin: "I have liked KISS since the 1970s."

Social Democratic party leader Mona Sahlin is a regular, faithful guest at the Hultsfred festival.

Tonight, she is also attending the KISS concert in Stockholm, confirms her press secretary Camila Buzaglo Peirone.

Yes, that's right. She is there as a private person. "She is a music lover and really like all kinds of music," said Camila Buzaglo Peirone.

Mona Sahlin is attending the concert with her son, Gustav, 21. Like his mother, he enjoys the band's music, and they've been to concerts together before.
