MY NEW PAUL & GENE SIGNATURE TATTOOS
KISS ON THE ROCKS
I had a blast at the Sheffield and Newcastle gig's and I still can't believe I had a Meet & Greet with KISS. I'm 40 years old now and a fan from when I was 7 years old. My first kiss lp was actually "KISS" and the rest followed.

Now I also manage the kiss tribute band KISS on the Rocks. So the meet & greet is really a great happening for every KISS fan, especially in my case, for years I wanted the signatures, of the original members tattooed on my arm.

Last year I had a meet and greet with Ace Frehley and he signed my arm and I got it tattooed the next day. Now I had the chance to get Gene and Paul to sign my arm, and luckily they did! They even took great pictures of the happening, and I'd love to share them with everybody .

On Sunday my arm was signed and on Monday I had to fly home to Holland, the next day the signatures where put in my skin forever at tattoo Mick's shop in Dordrecht.

So enjoy the pictures.

Cheers,
Hans(CrewTaTToo)van de Ven

LANCASHIRE EVENING POST
Once seen, never forgotten, Kiss have always been instantly recognisable thanks to their outlandish costumes - complete with eight-inch heels and their distinctive make-up.

The band was formed in New York in 1973 and soon settled on the line-up of Paul Stanley on guitar, Gene Simmons on bass, Ace Frehley on lead guitar and Peter Criss on drums.

After various changes of personnel the original quartet reunited briefly and in 2006 were honoured at the first annual VH1 Rock Honors event.

2008 saw Kiss with Tommy Thayer on lead guitar as the new Spaceman and Eric Singer as drummer and Catman, along with remaining founder-members Simmons and Stanley, headlining festivals and playing to a record 400,000 people.

Then the unthinkable happened, after a decade of saying they never wanted to do new recordings, they announced they were releasing a brand new album with "a real 70s Kiss sound".

EXPRESS & STAR
Check out these great fan comments about KISS' Birmingham show.

Steve & Jay

AWESOME! That's the only word to describe the Kiss Experience. Not so much a concert, more of an event. I've seen them live before at the Monsters of Rock bash but without the full theatre, make-up and stage show. So what better way to introduce my partner to Paul, Gene, Tommy and Eric, and the full-on, in-your-face spectacle we saw last night.

A 130 minute adrenaline rush, covering new material and classics in equal measure. The pyrotechnics were scarily superb, the stage show dazzling and the stunts amazing for a couple of 58/60 year-olds, Gene's party piece gore fest from 60 feet in the air being the highlight.

I also have to hold my hand up and say I was wrong. When Peter and Ace left, I thought Kiss would struggle to replace them. I WAS SO WRONG! Tommy's guitar work leaves Ace trailing with some diehards around us referring to Ace Who! And Eric's drum work was impeccable, although being a short guy, the crew might think to lower his high-hats for future gigs LOL!

MIDLAND ROCKS
By Peter Keevil

KISS are undergoing a bit of a renaissance of late and it's not undeserved as they have bravely issued a new, critically-acclaimed, album Sonic Boom, when they could have easily seen out their days milking a nostalgia circuit every few years. Having said that, much of tonight's 20-song, 2 hour plus show is built upon their awesome back catalogue.

But hey, with the greatest respect, we were only here for one band. And that band is of course the HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD...

Speaking of HOT, if their US accountants had realised the price of petrol over here I am sure the amount of live flame used would have been seriously cut-back. It was as if KISS were trying to single-handedly burn away the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico such was the sheer amount of bombastic pyrotechnics used tonight.

This was a 'show' in every sense of the word; timed to perfection, with no room for ad-libbing, everyone knew what was expected of them in order to deliver. And deliver they did. This was quite possibly the best KISS show I have ever been to and there have been quite a few of my not inconsiderable years.

UK PRESS CRAZY ABOUT !
KISSONLINE
Check out these great comments from press reviews of KISS' concerts earlier this week.

All in all, KISS proved that when it comes to live shows they are still the best, and can quite happily still live up to those introductory words of "you wanted the best, you got the best." - eGigs

Thirty-six years on from their inception KISS remain a unique force to be reckoned with; an enigma - living legends who deliver a hearty rock romp of a night out as rip-roaringly bombastic as ever. You've gotta love them for it. - The Star Sheffield

And the sheer scale of this explosive event will leave a lasting impression on all those present. Rock stars just don't do gigs like this anymore but then KISS aren't just any old rock stars. - Rock On Rush

You'd think after almost 40 years of being a band they may have succumbed to perhaps slowing the pace a little in their live shows, but as the Sonic Boom Over Europe tour hit Newcastle's Metro Radio arena yesterday, I can honestly say I've never been so entertained. - Evening Chronicle
