I was a very odd little girl - very smart, very articulate, with a great love of all that was scary. I had posters of all the great monsters in my room instead of unicorns and butterflies like normal kids.

I first saw Kiss on Woofman Jack's Midnight Special in 1975. I had an ear infection and my mother and I had fallen asleep on the sofa with the television on. You guys were performing Rock N Roll All Nite and I thought Gene Simmons was the coolest thing I had ever seen in my young life (I was three). I loved the blood and fire and demon shoes. I tried to wake my mother, but couldn't. The next day, I tried to explain to her the religious experience I had had discovering Kiss in the night. My monologue scored me a trip to the record store - and every Kiss album available at the time. Yes, I was very spoiled and my mother was very accommodating with my obsession. I was completely and utterly hooked.

My mother took me to see Kiss at the Anaheim Stadium in 1976 when I was four years old for the Destroyer tour- in full Gene Simmons regalia, of course. Family rumor has it that everyone around us watched me instead of you guys because I knew all the words and all the moves. Although, I would not sing the word 'hell' when you did Hotter Than Hell. That was my mom's job. That story was one of my mother's favorites to share with people about my youth. She shared it with a fellow Kiss fan while visiting me in Kansas over the holidays just weeks before she passed away on New Year's Eve '08.

My loyalty fell off somewhat when the makeup went away. That stole some of the magic for me and I was really pissed. I had also discovered punk rock. Still, I remain a fan, and I still can't suppress a smile when I hear the old tunes. I can even sing 'hell' now.

My aforementioned fellow loyal Kiss fan and friend look forward to a tour date in Kansas City this fall. I plan to bring my daughters as well - they are 11 and 16. We'd love an opportunity to meet the band as well.

Hello KISS!

I just wanted to tell you guys that your 80s albums were brilliant. I always enjoy listening to non-makeup KISS. My favorite KISS album is Asylum, I think it is a great album and I think the tour was brilliant, the stage show you guys put on in that tour was amazing! The stage setup was brilliant, the set lists were great and most importantly you guys had the lineup of Kulick and Carr!

On your next tour could you please remember the non makeup years and add some of those songs to the tour setlist. Songs like 'Get All You Can Take', 'King Of The Mountain' (with Eric Singer drum solo/intro), 'Uh! All Nite, and the song you guys have never performed live 'Who Wants To Be Lonely' would all be brilliant in a KISS concert!

Keep rockin' guys!
remember, you are heroes!

ps. Adelaide misses you!

Dear kiss,

I know you get lots of letters but I'm writing to you because I want to make a request for you to come to Mexico. You know my life is kinda dull and you are my icons. YOU'RE THE BEST BAND EVER. And I think Gene Simmons is the BEST BASSIST EVER. I just hope I can go to one of your concerts before I die.
Alive! album, memories for the ARMY

Hey darlings!

I need to share my emotions with you guys and the entire KISS ARMY. I got some KISS material today. I am going to refer to the Alive! album (well, not the LP as I would have loved, but the CD).

The sticker pasted on the plastic wrapper indicates that it "...includes deluxe full color, 12 page booklet". That brought some blurry memories back into my mind... While going thru it... I remembered the picture of the four handwritten notes from Ace, Peter, Gene and Paul!! It seemed to me so inspiring, cute, refreshing and exciting to read these notes in detail this time, which made wanna write again to you, reminding the entire ARMY the highlights of these notes (if there is no problem of course, and you don't prefer the fans to get the album and read them instead).

ACE

Dear Earthlings (Jo: so Star Wars!),
The gravity on Earth isn't quite the same as it is on my planet...when I play on stage is like making love. If you are good you get off every time. Thanks for helping me get off...

PETER

....I know it's gonna make your tails stand straight up....all you alley cats and tom cats, rock your rolls right off (or should I say tails?). Your silver nosed tom cat.

GENE

...My spiked seven inch boot heels are at the ready, should you be in the mood for a heavy sport...and my mouth is there to tell you all horrible things you never thought you'd hear (but love hearing)...I know what you do when the lights go out (Jo:you got that right!)....

PAUL (Jo: this one goes complete)

My dear Lovers,
Nothing arouses me more than seeing you getting off on me. It makes me work that much harder to please you. My body is yours, yours is mine. We explode together when I'm on stage. I'm yours...take me.

Definitely some of the most original stuff I have ever seen in a music album...it had to be you.
Do you still keep those notes?
Kisses, my superheroes!

Hey Guys,

I wanted to say that I am a HUGE KISS FAN, I played in the NFL, CFL and have met numerous people and I had the chance to meet you guys backstage at the CenturyTel Arena in Shreveport. It was one of the happiest days ever.. OK, now here's the main story. I have finally found something for my son that will push him harder. When he does good I reward him w/ a Package of Kiss Ikons. I recently bought every comic book b/c he has the drive to read b/c of you. So, the IKON cards are awesome and they are a learning tool. Thanks guys. I will be at the Voodoo Expereince and do whatever it takes to get my son back to meet you. You have made him go from D's an F's to honor roll. He is now KISS ARMY Member and doesn't go anywhere w/o his Kiss shirts, Tags, and wallet cards. You are the best hands down. Both as a person but also as a role model. God Bless- David Vaughan.

I'll see you in New Orleans and at least 5 other sites once they are announced for the US cities. We can't wait for the new record. My son recorded Fairly Odd Parents Wishology and keeps it on DVR.... Thanks again for being so wonderful.

it's been 26 days since i went to the Santiago Rock City concert and I am still thinking about the songs, the fireworks, the icons...the whole show...

I have been to a lot of rock concerts and this was by far the best... There is tons of songs that kiss didn't play but WHO CARES! with the alive songs + the encore you destroyed the stadium !

There was a lot of people that didn't have much expectations for the show... These are the people that didn't go to the show because they didn't think that it was gonna kick ass like it did...

THANKS !!!
hope to see you soon someday

let me thank you with this awesome picture taken during ROCKNROLL ALL NITE
