Gentlemen, I admit I feel a bit silly writing a fan letter at my age, like the goofy, star-struck teenaged girl I was when introduced to KISS so many years ago. However, after the unusual show that was Soboba, I feel compelled to express my gratitude and admiration. This spring, following a particularly difficult period in my life, I decided that I needed to turn it all around. On a roadtrip to visit my father, I picked up Paul\'s Live to Win cd. In those long stretches, I found myself inspired, and it rekindled my interest in all things KISS. When I returned home, I began listening again, filling in the gaps in my collection. Your catalogue became the soundtrack to my mission. Without going into sordid detail, the music and the example you provided--that people can make their lives what they dream them to be--was the impetus to keep me on my path. Today, several months later, I am still going strong and spreading my wings ever wider. I began planning the trip to San Jacinto as a celebration and a reward. Initially, an old friend was to accompany me. When she couldn\'t, my sister offered, but wasn\'t able to go either. With only two weeks left until the show, I decided I\'d go on my own. I got many a raised eyebrow in response to this declaration--that I\'d go to a KISS concert, that I\'d go so far for one, and that I\'d go alone. I flew down from Portland Thursday night, and drove a rental car out to San Jacinto. The following morning, I woke up with butterflies of excitement in my belly, and a sense of pride that I was making this happen. That evening, I arrived in time for your soundtrack. Watching through the chainlink, those butterflies began banging around in my gut, as I thought, \"This is real. I am really here.\" Later, when I overheard the guy in the row in front of me with the All Access pass tell his buddies that Paul was sick and had been taken to the hospital, my heart sank. All that time spent getting there, all that money, all that excited anticipation. Then Mr. McGhee made the announcement, and I thought I might cry with disappointment and concern at the vagueness of the description of Paul\'s condition--was he okay? Was he dying? It was such a strange mix of emotion, and in direct contrast to the elation I\'d been riding moments prior. Gene, you strode out into the bare light and spoke to us so candidly, almost as though we were truly comrades, sharing anxiety over our ailing friend. In that instant, my impression of you as a larger than life, super-celebrity-god changed into something far better. Your concern for Paul and your williness to try to carry on brought you down to earth, made you human, made you real. You and Tommy and Eric were magical that night, and though I remain disappointed that I still have yet to have a\"complete\" KISS experience, you three were bold, and gallant, and ultimately, just three guys trying to go on, and I loved that. Thank you so much for not allowing me to go home empty-handed and empty-hearted, and thank you for so many years of enchantment. I am tremendously relieved that you have recovered, Paul. Stay well and take care of your babies. My respect and best wishes to you all, Kim Robichaud PS. I surmise, though I may be wrong, that Gene\'s family may have agreed to provide some distraction while Paul was being treated. If so, please extend my gratitude to them as well for the sacrifice of their time and privacy.

Hello, just stopping by to say hello to everyone. I have been a lifelong KISS fan, I have seen you in concert before and have loved it. I have a 6 y/o son, who loves your music and your costumes and face paint. He wants to see you in concert in the worst way. I promised my son, I would take him to see you when you go on tour. You have inspired my son to play guitar, and of course I support his interest fully. Paul, glad to hear that the runs of SVT weren\'t permanently debilitating. Thank you for giving us the chance to listen to great music, you are certainly iconic pioneers in the industry.

Paul, I\'m 16 and the concert at Soboba was my FIRST KISS concert. My dad is a HUGE KISS fan and he bought me 4 tickets to go with friends for my birthday. Sadly, he couldn\'t attend becuase he made a commitment to play a gig of his own. He is INSANELY jealouse that I got to see HISTORY: KISS AS A TRIO. Now, I have to admit, at first, when I found out that you weren\'t doing the show due to health conditions, my heart stopped and I thought \"oh my god what\'s a KISS concert without Paul and I hope to God he\'s alright\". Not to mention, I was already late because my idiot friends didn\'t pick me up sooner than 6:30pm and we were in trafffic in NOWHERESVILLE for like an hour. we got there whe Gene asked the audience if we still wanted just the 3 of them to play. MAN DID THEY ROCK IN YOUR HONOR!!!!!! I was so amazed to actually be at a KISS concert! All I can say is thank you for caring so much about us fans and PLEASE COME BACK TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!!!!!!!!! As much as I LOVED the TRIO, I gotta see KISS with Paul Stanely!!!!! And you better beleive I\'ll be front row center, with my dad right by my side and we\'ll be rockin out man!! Hope with all my heart to see you soon!!!

A few months ago, I married my dream wife and became dad to two fantastic kids. I had a special surprise for my wife and kids (ages 9 and 12) when they found out they were on the front row for the Kewadin show! It will probably be several years before the kids realize the upgrade in peer approval when they drop \"Yeah, my first concert was front row for KISS\" to friends. My first KISS show was 1977 in Huntington, West Virginia in nosebleed seats. It still changed my life. Thanks for always \"being there\" and giving the KISS Army the recruiting tools we need to keep us Rockin\' & Rollin\' All Nite!

Dear Paul: I am a 32-year fan. My daughter and I travelled from New York to see Friday night\'s show. Wow -- I must say it was quite a shocker that you were unable to perform Friday night but perfectly understandable. Your health comes first, Paul. We heard you singing and playing during soundcheck -- very cool -- so we took it for granted everything was fine. When Doc and Gene told us you had taken ill we were very sad and concerned; I had tears in my eyes. I have seen you guys roughly fifteen times in concert since 1979 and met you in person several times. You are a very important part of my life and you are like family to me. I just want to let you know, Paul, that I am even more proud to be a Kiss fan now. You clearly showed beyond a shadow of a doubt how much you care for the fans when you told Gene not to let the fans down; I was very touched by this sentiment. Gene said many VERY nice things about you, Paul, which truly touched my heart and made me so proud to be a Kiss fan. You guys are AMAZING. Gene, Tommy, and Eric did a very nice job performing in your absence but there was a huge void without you. Paul, my daughter and I were the first in line to see you at The Wentworth Gallery in New Jersey - if you can remember. You are my daughter\'s favorite. She has been quiet about not seeing you in California but I know she is saddened and concerned. My thoughts and prayers are with you. You were sorely missed but you did what you had to do. I am so glad to hear that you are perfectly fine. What a relief to have read that! I truly look forward to seeing you and Kiss many more times in the future. God Bless you always, Paul. I consider you a dear friend -- a wonderful human being -- and a family member. We love you. Please take care of yourself and we certainly will be seeing you and Kiss again. A Huge Kiss Fan for Life, Jim from New Jersey

Dear KISS I am since 1976 a giant fan of you. I have all your Vinyl LPs plus all still on CD. Also I have otherwise many things of you. My newest achievement will be in 2 weeks the KISS credit card. Since always the sun does not shine, I painted myself an umbrella. I find, he to me well succeeded. Kind regards from Switzerland. Gruebe
