TOMMY GREET KISS ARMY AT COFFEEHOUSE

Even a hurricane couldn't keep the KISS ARMY from attending the KISS Coffeehouse Party today in Myrtle Beach! Over a thousand KISS fans from as far away as Japan, Canada and all over the US, braved Friday's extreme weather to meet Tommy Thayer and celebrate the Coffeehouse's 2nd Anniversary...and Tommy didn't disappoint, signing autographs and posing for photos for over three hours. Tommy really seemed to be having a great time meeting his fans and signed multiple autographs for all who asked! A real class act!

THE PARTY IS ON!

The KISS Coffeehouse's 2nd Anniversary Party will take place as scheduled this Saturday, September 6th in Myrtle Beach, SC. The latest weather report calls for partly cloudy skies in the afternoon and temperatures in the 80's.

Tommy will be on hand to sign autographs and take photos with the fans, and KISSONLINE will have Tour Merchandise and collectibles!

If it’s true Gene Simmons is afraid of heights, he sure didn’t show it during Lake Tahoe greatest rock show.

Complete with makeup, 8-inch heels, explosives, pyrotechnics and smashed guitars, Kiss thrilled fans, many of them whom also donned outlandish white, black and bloody garb in the spirit of their heroes.

Simmons, aka “Demon,” Paul “Starchild” Stanley, Tommy “Spaceman” Thayer and Eric “the Cat” Singer played two sets featuring much of their material from the “Alive!” album, before a charged-up crowd on the chilly night of Aug. 30 at Harveys Outdoor Arena.

Hi KISS ARMY,

I am a KISS fan from Sydney, Australia and I thought I'd share a photo of a custom made Eric Carr statue that I recently created. I based this on the Creatures Of The Night outfit which was by far an absolutely incredible era.

It is made out of resin, is approximately 55 cm tall and took me approximately a month to make in order to get all the details precise or close to perfect as possible.

Eric Carr has been an inspiration of mine for years, his positive outlook and determination in life has influenced me in many ways. He was an amazing musician, extremely talented who elevated KISS to great heights. He is sorely missed but will never be forgotten.

SING WITH KISS WINNER

Tommy Thayer has chosen Todd Cage, from Columbia, SC as the winner of the Sing with KISS contest. Todd will be performing "Forever" onstage with Tommy at the KISS Coffeehouse 2nd Anniversary Party this Saturday.

Tommy wants to thank the more than 600 fans that called in and gave it a shot. He was speaking with Paul Stanley about the contest last weekend and Paul mentioned that "Forever" is probably the hardest KISS song to sing!

1st runner up was Adrienne Asterita from NYC and 2nd runner up was Patrick Harr from Tennessee.

Contest winner to duet Saturday in MB with with Tommy Thayer

Brian Galvin, the franchisee of the KISS Coffeehouse at Broadway at the Beach, invites Grand Strand residents to enter its "Sing with KISS" contest. The winner will sing "Forever" with KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer at the KISS Coffeehouse's daylong second-anniversary party Sept. 6.
A North Carolinian will the KISS song "Forever" on Saturday in Myrtle Beach with the group's lead guitarist, Tommy Thayer.

Todd Cage of Huntersville, north of Charlotte, was among more than 600 people who left a sing-along voice mail to enter the "Sing with KISS'" contest, said Brian Galvin, president of the Galvin Group, franchisee of the KISS Coffeehouse at Broadway at the Beach.

The contest winner's performance is part of a slew of activities scheduled for the coffeehouse's second anniversary party, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday. Details at 626-5477 or www.kisscoffeehouse.com.

Galvin said Cage, after learning this morning that Thayer had chosen his name as the best singer of the first verse and chorus to an instrumental recording of "Forever," was shocked and thrilled with the news.

Cage said he had called in his entry from his car last month on a break from work in the service department of a car dealership.

He said he plans to crank a KISS greatest-hits CD to practice "Forever."

"I used to play that song with my band when I was 16 in high school,'' said Gage, 34.

KISS co-founders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley were on hand in 2006 when the KISS Cofffeehouse opened, and original KISS lead guitarist Ace Frehley paid a visit there earlier this year.

In the Summerfest finale, the legendary rock group KISS graced the stage before a sellout crowd at at Konocti Harbor and Resort.

KELSEYVILLE -- Lake County said good-bye to the summer in style with Konocti Harbor/Konocti Presents hosting another X.S. Weekend full of extreme sports and head-banging music. Fireworks at the end of the three-day party signified the closing of Summerfest 2008.

Got into Las Vegas Thursday night from Ohio. It was a LOOONNNG day with all the travel...

We made it into the Palms around 6:00pm. There were KISS fans milling about of all ages. Families, couples, die-hards as well as the unitiated were well represented.

After 7:00pm the doors opened to the concert hall... It was a very impressive layout. There is not a bad seat in the whole place. I made my way to my seat which was right behind the floor seating general admission area in the elevated area. VERY cool!!!

ROCK FAITHFUL AT KONOCTI

Proving his lifelong devotion to KISS, Don Warneke pulled up his sleeve to show off his badge of honor: A red "KISS Army" tattoo on his arm.

But it paled in comparison with the foot-long portrait of Gene Simmons on his left calf.

"Other than the Grateful Dead, there is no other fan base like the KISS fan base," he said, waiting along with other fans (who paid between $150 and $214 for tickets) Sunday night for his white-faced icons of stadium rock to take the stage at Konocti Harbor.

ENJOYING LIFE AS KISS DRUMMER

In the photo KISS drummer Eric Singer is with Alice Cooper’s bassist and South Lake Tahoe native Chuck Garric.

Eric Singer describes Kiss as “rock meets Barnum and Bailey’s Circus,” making it his ideal band.

“I always liked the entertainer-type drummers,” said Singer, who first joined Kiss in 1991. “For me, I feel Kiss is the perfect band as a musician, a performer and an entertainer.”
