AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE!

By Fernão Silveira / WHIPLASH ((translated for KISSONLINE by our friend Jill Cataldo)

Call them what you want: posers, mercenaries, impostors, the excessive, Disneyland of rock... but it is because of shows like Tuesday's in São Paulo that KISS has enjoyed a 35-year career as one of the hottest and most-requested bands around the world, with shows overcrowded by fans across the planet. Again, call them what you want, but no more appropriate introduction exists for them than 'the hottest band in the world' - as the loudspeakers of the Anhembi Arena announced seconds before the band's triumphant entrance for their show in...

10 YEARS LATER: KISS RETURNS TO BRAZIL

Gene Simmons, bass player and vocalist of KISS, is a rock hero with a long tongue. He's an excellent speaker with a masterful grasp of the language of rock. At 59 years, the most famous tongue in music gave an interview on the band's new tour stop in Brazil.

Ten years after its last stop in the country (when KISS played for 40,000 people in Interlagos) the group returns to Brazil with its KISS Alive 35 tour. Playing...

FAN'S SAO PAULO REVIEW

Hello KISS ARMY!

Tonight is a special night for me... I just attended my first ever KISS concert a few hours ago! I'll share some interesting/mildly amusing tidbits of tonight's concert along with some random thoughts of this current lineup:

- Paul's vocals were really strong.... it was a very solid performance overall.

- Gene and Paul (especially Paul) were strangely upbeat, and both of them were having a great time with the audience. I know these guys are professionals entertainers, but I got the impression they were as happy as ever standing on that stage.

- Eric Singer is awesome... I mean really awesome! I love...

POLICE CLOSE HIGHWAY FOR KISS!

This is the band with the police department of Sao Paulo, Brazil. They closed the entire free way for KISS, just like they do for the President! It would have been like closing the 405 from Orange County up to LA.

It was crazy!

KISS FANS TO DECIDE ROUTING

This year marks 35 years since KISS unleashed Gene Simmons tongue on an unsuspecting world, and now you have a chance to bring the costumed rock ‘n roll crusaders to your town in the first-ever 'fan-routed' tour.

To accomplish this bit of KISS derring do, the band has partnered with social media company Eventful to make fans dreams a reality come September.

According to a statement released by the band:

'No matter where the fans say – from stadiums to cornfields – if there are enough votes, KISS will be there!'

Furthermore, the balloting will be weighted to give small towns a fair chance with the final site...

KISS TURNS TO EVENTFUL

KISS' upcoming U.S. and Canadian tour will be entirely routed based on demand at event-based social networking site Eventful, a first for a major act.

Fans will 'demand' where Kiss will perform on their tour across the top-voted North American markets beginning this September. And in order to keep the competition fair for smaller cities, final site selection will weigh population size versus total votes. An official video announcement by the band's Paul Stanley, Eric Singer, Tommy Thayer and Gene Simmons began the promotion Monday.

Fans across the U.S. and Canada can cast their votes at eventful.com/Kiss to have their town included...
