REALITY IS BETTER THAN A DREAM!
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER

Dear Paul,

I just want to say that Luxembourg was the first KISS show I've seen... and I waited nearly 30 years for that!

When you guys toured Europe the last time I didn't have the chance to catch you, and since I was a fan since the late 70's (I'm 36 now) you might imagine how special this evening was for me. To be honest with you: I wasn't sure if KISS could deliver what I saw in my imaginations or on your DVDs - even if I was so exited when the lights went out and the announcement came I was worried if this could compare to all the expectations I had.

The fact is: it couldn't compare to the expectations - IT WAS EVEN BETTER THAN ALL MY IMAGINATIONS! You simply gave me the BEST concert I've ever been to, and believe me, I went to see hundreds of bands and some truly amazing shows.

You delivered the most exiting show on earth, and you proved without a shadow of a doubt, that KISS is a force to be reckoned with even without any show... since I stood in the front. I witnessed you guys working hard and truly giving your best, not hiding behind effects (like many acts with great shows do). The mere fact that your concert lasted far longer than the usual rock-concert I am used to might be added here.

To put it bluntly: YOU GAVE US EXACTLY WHAT YOU PROMISED - THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD! !

So, Paul, you and the guys fulfilled last week a childhood dream for me - and not only that, you showed that sometimes reality is BETTER than a dream!

Thank you for an exiting and outstanding evening, to everyone involved all the best from Germany!

THANKS FOR THE WONDERFUL LETTERS!
LETTERS TO KISS

Hello KISS,

I am a life long KISS fan and I am also the mother of a young Airman stationed in Germany who went to the meet and greet you did on his base there. I have always had a high opinion of you but let me tell you it went up 20 fold when I heard from my son how awesome you were to him. I can't thank you enough for giving him the thrill of his life and making being stationed so far from home seem a little less difficult. You are truly the most amazing people. Again thank you so much for taking the time to let our young men and women in uniform know that what they do and the sacrifices they make do not go unnoticed. Have a great tour. Hoping to see you in Arizona soon.

Sincerely, Cindy Bernsten

KISS,

Congrats on the success of your European leg of ALIVE 35! I am at a loss for words that you will be headlining the 'Rock'n The Rally' in nearby Sturgis.

I am currently in the U.S. Air Force stationed in SD, and want to express my thanks from the Armed Forces. You have been to Camp Pendleton with our Marines numerous times, and just this past month visited your Air Force family in Germany. Your dedication to us and what we as a nation stand for is never in question.

Thanks for all you have done and will continue doing in your support of the Armed Forces.

Best, Boneswahoo

MUSICIAN TRIES NEW OUTLET
PAUL'S NON-MUSICAL HITS

by Marco R. Dellacava

Kiss singer PAUL STANLEY fell into a funk after his 2001 divorce. His lifeline was unexpected: a paintbrush.

'Pouring out how I feel onto a canvas is both solitary and cathartic,' says Stanley, whose dabbling has turned serious. His art sales topped $2 million last year, and a new exhibit of his work is set for July 25-26 at the Wentworth Gallery in King of Prussia, Pa.

Reporter Marco R. della Cava asked Jeff Marinelli, publisher of Art and Living magazine, to weigh in on the non-musical hits of the rock star.

'When I look at Paul's work, I immediately think, 'Peter Max,' ' says Marinelli, referring to the American pop artist whose bold colors and psychedelic visions helped define the '60s.

Stanley's similarly color-packed creations have themes that change from canvas to canvas. Some images are iconic (the Statue of Liberty) while others appear personal (a heart inside a gaping mouth).

'He seems to pick what he'll paint just as he steps up to the easel,' says Marinelli. He adds with a laugh: 'A guy like Paul Stanley has fun when he paints something like a vase with flowers. It's a chance to show that Kiss has a sensitive side.'
