KISSONLINE FAN LETTER

The first Jonesboro, Arkansas, KISS fan convention took place August 22-23, 2008, with excited KISS fans turning out for a makeup contest and the screening of Detroit Rock City on Friday night, followed by a full day on Saturday consisting of memorabilia displays and the sale of official KISS merchandise, and culminating in a performance by Jonesboro based tribute band Exciter.

The highlight of the event was the silent auction wherein bids were placed on seven different items: Two original paintings by Jonesboro artist Otis Watson, an original lithograph drawn by KISS web comic artist Adam Black specifically for this event, a drum head autographed by Eric Singer, and three limited edition KISS 4K comics autographed by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley! All auction items were sold, raising $500 for the Gary W. Henry Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Arkansas Children's Hospital.

KISS COFFEEHOUSE CONTEST

The KISS Coffeehouse announces the 'Longest Tongue on TV' contest to be held at the 2nd Anniversary Party on September 6th in Myrtle Beach. Coffeehouse visitors can enter the contest for a chance to lick up a flat screen TV and set of autographed Gene Simmons Family Jewels DVDs. A drawing will choose two competitors who will face off to see who can keep their tongue on the TV the longest!

The KISS Coffeehouse's 2nd Anniversary Party will be held on Saturday, September 6th in Myrtle Beach, SC.

VANS X KISS

Vans, the original skate shoe company, and legendary rock band KISS are excited to announce the Vans x KISS Sk8-Hi shoe and t-shirt package! The first offering in the Vans x KISS series commemorates the 30th anniversary of KISS' groundbreaking solo albums: Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley. Released on September 18, 1978, the solo albums represented the first time ever that all the members of a band released solo works on the same day. Coincidentally, the Vans Sk8-Hi, one of the Vans' earliest skate shows, debuted the very same year. Available in late fall, the Vans Sk8-Hi and t-shirt will be sold separately at better footwear stores and boutiques worldwide as well as on vans.com. GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS - Complete 3rd Season DVD set will be released on November 18, 2008. The season box set features 26 episodes on 4 DVDs. Amazon.com is now taking pre-orders for the 3rd Season DVD.
