TOMMY'S STUDIO REPORT
TOMMYTHAYER.COM
It's been a great week in the recording studio working on the brand new KISS album. It truly sounds amazing and the new songs are kicking my ass. We cut basic tracks for a bunch of songs together as a unit in the studio for two or three days. We all agreed that we've never got tracks that sound this good before.

Yesterday, I took a shot at a few guitar solos. Paul's producing and doing a superb job steering the ship. Stay tuned for more updates soon...

TRIBUTE SHOW IN POLAND FOR DIABETES!
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
KISS IS EVERYWHERE!

Hey KISS!

I just wanted to tell you about a KISS tribute show that myself and some of my classmates put on at my high school in Warsaw, Poland. We love you guys so much! You have inspired us to do something that has never been done at our school before.

We performed a full KISS set list in costumes and makeup (as you can see we have the official boots!) for the students, parents and faculty at the school. SMOOCH has been working so hard since January preparing for this show. And because your "cause" on the Hottest Show on Earth Tour was so inspiring, we decided to raise money for a cause too.

I'm the Catman and drummer of SMOOCH, and I'm also a type 1 diabetic. So since January we have been raising donations for a foundation that is very near and dear to my heart. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. So many people saw how much this meant to me and my band mates that we earned a lot of donations.

The concert was on Friday April 8th, and it was a huge success! It was such a great feeling! No wonder you guys have been around so long! Before the show we held a mini "Meet & Greet" session (courtesy of our school's amazing photo teacher) where friends and family could come up to the photo room and take pictures with us. It was all very cool! We even signed a few autographs! It was so awesome!

After that we hit the stage playing KISS classics such as "Love Gun" sung by our Starchild Ryan, "War Machine" sung by myself, "Rocket Ride" sung by our Spaceman and "Parasite" sung by our Demon! It was such a cool night, it was loads of fun and we just want to thank you for the memories.

Because of KISS I have met band mates, and friends that I will never forget. It's because of you guys that I've been able to live the dream, even if it was for only one night. Thank you for getting us through the hard times in life, and for reminding us that "No matter what trouble there is" we all deserve to ROCK AND ROLL ALL NITE AND PARTY EVERYDAY! Thank You Again! Love from Poland!

Matthew - Catman of SMOOCH!

PAINTING WITH !
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
My Story

My name is Nate and I live in Neenah, WI. I’m 52 years old and have been a KISS fan for over 37 years. I’ve been to numerous KISS concerts, my first one being in 1975. My favorite one was on December 3, 1977 in Dane County Coliseum in Madison, WI. My most recent ones were this past summer in Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Saint Paul, and Chicago. This was the first time my wife ever saw KISS live, and just loved their performance. We are looking forward to their concert dates in both Minnesota and Wisconsin this summer!

My all time favorite albums and album covers are Destroyer and Love Gun. In my 1977 art class I drew out Destroyer and started to paint it. But due to Epilepsy I was unable to continue. I was suffering from as many as 20 seizures a day and the medications were causing tremors and blurred vision. I tucked the painting away with the hope of completing it someday. Well in 1997 I had corrective brain surgery which has left me nearly seizure free these past 14 years. I am proud to say that three years ago, some thirty plus years later, I completed Destroyer. These past three winters I’ve completed many other paintings as well.

KISS may never realize or understand what an important role they played in my life. Their music brought me back up after epilepsy and seizures would knock me down. KISS and their music are the “heroes in my world”. I could not picture my life without KISS being part of it. It would have had an important piece missing. In a sense I would have been living in a world without these heroes in my life. Yes Gene’s song “A World Without Heroes” says it all, makes a lot of sense!

Thank you for keeping KISS alive. You taught me long ago to never give up if you feel that something is worth fighting for. Thank you for being such an inspiration in my life.

Sincerely,
A KISS Army Fan

ME ONCE, ME TWICE
THE OBSERVER.CA
By TARA JEFFREY, The Observer

Hope you didn't throw out that Gene Simmons mask.

Rogers Bayfest is bringing back familiar faces for a four-day rock lineup this summer that include legendary rockers KISS and Canadian favourites the Tragically Hip, along with INXS, Theory of a Deadman and The Tea Party.

"We have some repeats, but they're the best of the best that we're bringing back," said Michele Stokley, the woman at the helm of the 13th annual summer music festival in Sarnia.

"I'm glad to finally be able to announce it. And I'm excited that we've got something for everyone."

The festival kicks of Wednesday July 6 with KISS — who performed to a sold out Centennial Park crowd in 2009.

"It was, for sure, the most memorable, most talked about show ever," said Stokley, noting it was the band's management that approached her about returning to Sarnia.

"Actually, Gene Simmons was doing a talk on marketing, and mentioned our venue and the size of the population and the number of people that we brought in.

"So, it was obviously a memorable one for them."
