KISS-themed coffeehouse on track for spring opening, owner says By: DAWN BRYANT The first KISS Coffeehouse is getting ready to stir it up at Broadway at the Beach, with an early May debut planned. Brian Galvin - the man behind this latest, and one of the most unusual, creations for the famed rockers - was in town last week turning the now basic, empty store at a corner of Celebrity Square into one crazy enough to boast the KISS name. "I'm so busy getting ready," Galvin said. "We're under construction and hope to open May 9." That date isn't set in stone as work continues, including getting the OK from Burroughs & Chapin Co. Inc. on the unique storefront design. B&C owns Broadway. Details about the grand opening party still are in the works. It will be in June, and band members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are still committed to attend, Galvin said. More details should come in about two weeks.
