BACK WITH ENERGETIC NEW SINGLE!

It would be ridiculous to say KISS is back again, since the band really hasn't stopped performing for any long period of time after they released their last studio album, 2009's "Sonic Boom." This time the hottest band in the world left fans anticipating new music for three years versus the 11 they made them wait after 1998's "Psycho Circus." The new music comes in the form of a single entitled "Hell or Hallelujah" from the upcoming album "Monster," which hits stores on October 16, 2012 in North America.

The new track was recorded at the same studio as their last album, "Sonic Boom." It was produced by KISS co-founder Paul Stanley and Greg Collins. The song reflects the band's attitude of rising above opposition and doing things their own way. It's "a battle cry that encapsulates the entire record... one way or another, we're going to do it our way," stated Stanley.

The track was written by Paul Stanley, who performs lead vocals and rhythm guitar. Co-founder Gene Simmons plays bass guitar and supplies backing vocals. Tommy Thayer is on lead guitar duties and does backing vocals. Eric Singer pounds the drums and contributes backing vocals as well. Although Thayer and Singer are still looked at by some fans as the replacements for original members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss, it's time to put that mindset aside. Thayer has been with the band for nine years now versus Frehley's 10 years. Singer continues to play with the band he's toured and recorded with off and on for 15 years. That's longer than Criss actually performed with the band.

"Hell or Hallelujah" hearkens back to the energetic rock 'n' roll the band was known for in the 1980s. It perfectly blends in next to any of the driving songs off of "Lick It Up" or "Animalize." We get the anthemic choruses and powerful lyrics the band was known for at that time and resurrected with their "Sonic Boom" release.

The track is already topping the charts all over the world. You can download "Hell or Hallelujah" on iTunes right here. There's also a lyric video for the song available through Vevo. You can see and hear for yourself that KISS is back with what will become another classic track and album!
