Bronx born and bred, Ace Frehley received the ultimate honor on Sunday, May 20th, 2001 when he was inducted by Bronx Borough President Fernando Ferrer into The Bronx Walk Of Fame. "I am overwhelmed to be inducted into the Bronx Walk Of Fame, not only for my personal achievements but also to be honored with such a prestigious group of Bronxites," enthused Frehley. Joining Frehley as new inductees that year were U.S. Secretary Of State Colin Powell, actress, Diahann Carroll, actor Burt Young, baseball great Ed Kranepool, and legendary filmmaker, the late Stanley Kubrick, among others. The Bronx Walk Of Fame inductees are selected on the basis of success in their respective fields of endeavor and accumulated pride and goodwill generated by their community. The inductees receive the honor of the unveiling of a permanent personalized street plaque along the Grand Concourse beginning at The Bronx County Building.
