ACE AT INDUCTION OF DIMEBAG DARRELL
May 18, 2007
Ace Frehley attended the induction of the late Dimebag Darrell into the Hollywood RockWalk yesterday. Ace spoke in honor of Dimebag who was a major KISS fan: "The first time I met Dimebag we were doing a photo shoot for the cover of Guitar World, and I've heard a lot about this crazy guitar player who is a big fan of mine. He's got my face tattooed on his chest and all this crazy stuff. And we really ended up hitting it off. He's just a really, genuinely a good guy -- a great musician." Also pictured is a guitar Ace painted that sold for $7,500 at the Six-String Masterpieces: The Dimebag Darrell Art Tribute auction in which 50 Dean ML electric guitars painted or otherwise customized by a variety of music, entertainment, and fine art celebrities were sold to benefit the Little Kids Rock project.
