KISS's Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley open Rock & Brews in Oviedo

Restaurant patrons were giddy with excitement at the Jan. 6 grand opening of Rock & Brews Oviedo, a restaurant concept from founders of the legendary rock band KISS.
KISS front men Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley were in attendance welcoming hordes of hungry fans to the restaurant, which serves American cuisine and gives a nod to all the historical moments and musicians in rock. The restaurant is the chain's eighth eatery and is the only location on the East Coast.
"Why did we choose Oviedo? Why not?" said Stanley of the question he is asked often.
"This is a family-friendly restaurant, and you can bring your dog — seriously, bring your dog. We will give him dog beer or water — yes, we will," said Simmons about the best way to describe the restaurant.
The Oviedo location may be just the beginning for the superstar duo. Stanley and Simmons updated me on plans that they are definitely looking at adding more locations right here in Central Florida.
"We are in design stages and have locations picked out. This will be our first East Coast one, but not our last in Florida or the Orlando area," Stanley said.
But for now, Oviedo is the place to go to check out the restaurant that was born from the minds of The Demon (Simmons) and Starchild (Stanley).
