KISS REVS UP TO "ROCK AND ROLL ALL NITE" IN DALLAS

It's evident KISS takes its song "Hotter Than Hell" literally. The band proved themselves over the past forty years as they picked and chose what they wanted to do and when they wanted to do it. They keep stepping up to the challenge by once again playing in the dead of Summer in Dallas, TX. On July 13th, the "Hottest Band in the World" will show their Southern fans that they live up to the title when they play Gexa Energy Pavilion with Def Leppard and supporting act Kobra and the Lotus.
KISS's tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of their debut self-titled album got off to a great start when they played to a sold out crowd of 20,000 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They followed it up two nights later with a packed arena in Denver, CO. The set lists for the past two nights have altered slightly. It includes some of the same classic KISS songs we all love with a surprise thrown in. They've opened with one of my personal favorites off "Destroyer." The guys lower on a platform as they bang out the opening chords to "King of the Night Time World." After that, they're barreling through a tune off their self-titled album before kicking it into high gear with songs reflecting different eras in their long career.
"Psycho Circus" takes care of the 1990s reunion decade. "I Love It Loud" and "War Machine" highlights the band's heavy hitting arsenal from the early 1980s. The big surprise is the inclusion of a song not heard often on their tours. "Hide Your Heart" off of KISS's Gold-certified album "Hot in the Shade" is a rare gem they're parading around stage this go-round.
Everything you've come to expect and want from a KISS show will transpire when they hit Dallas next month. All of Gene Simmons' blood-spitting and fire-breathing coupled with his and Paul and Stanley's high-flying antics can be counted on. What can we anticipate from Spaceman Tommy Thayer and Catman Eric Singer? What other surprises will the Starchild and the Demon deliver for their fans down South?
KISS plays the Gexa Energy Pavilion on Sunday, July 13th, 2014. The show starts at 7:00PM with openers Kobra and the Lotus followed by the great Def Leppard. You can buy tickets right here.
